ASBU, in its aim to become a dynamic, constantly developing, research university with strong community outreach, relies on internationalization. On the one hand, it offers its students and staff the opportunity to participate in mobility programmes such as the Erasmus+ Higher Education Programme or Mevlana Programme. On the other hand, it welcomes students and staff from all around the world.

While the Global Admissions Office is in charge of recruitment of international degree-seeking students, the Internationals Office develops the internationalization strategy and carries out international mobility programmes.

Erasmus+ Higher Education Programme:

The Erasmus+ Programme is run by the European Commission in close cooperation with the Turkish National Agency.

The Programme enables student and staff exchange between higher education institutions in programme and partner countries. Under the Student Mobility for Studies (SMS) students can spend a semester or a year in a partner university. Mobility for Placement (SMP) provides university students with the opportunity to gain hands-on experience abroad in an organization related to their studies prior to their graduation. In both types of mobility, all successfully completed activities, given that they are listed in learning agreements, are counted towards mobile students' degrees.

The Programme includes two types of staff mobility: teaching and training. In the framework of teaching mobility, faculty members visit a partner university and deliver a minimum of 8 hours of lecture per week. Staff mobility for training is open to both academic and administrative staff and gives its participants the opportunity for professional development.
